There are basic principles from which all other truth is derived (Pro 9:1). These parallel the redemptive gifts. If you master six of the seven without mastering the one that matters for your gift, you will end life deeply frustrated.

In your community, it is necessary that you understand which principle is associated with the redemptive gift of your city. If you live in a Giver city but are operating at a low level in the area of stewardship, you will have a seriously hard time making any headway. When you know the gift and the principle for that gift, you can be intentional about strengthening your own ability in that area and impacting your community.
